How to Install freeipmi software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

freeipmi software package provides GNU implementation of the IPMI protocol, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install freeipmi

freeipmi is installed in your system.

Make ensure the freeipmi package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep freeipmi *

You will get with freeipmi package name, version, architecture and description in a table

freeipmi package basic information:
